Community Guidelines
Burn has a community because the workouts are only half of it. The other half is the people who show up on the days you would rather not. These are the rules that keep this a place worth showing up to.
Nobody gets cut
Every body is welcome here — every size, every age, every gender, every starting point. Someone in this community is on day one in a chair. Someone else is on day four hundred doing HIIT. Both belong, and neither one is further along than the other in any way that matters. No comments about anyone’s weight, shape, or size. Not as a compliment, not as concern, not as a joke.
Share your own story, not somebody else’s
People talk openly here about surgery, GLP-1 medication, weight, and health. What gets shared inside this community stays inside it — no screenshots, no reposting, no repeating someone’s story outside the group. If you would not want yours forwarded, do not forward theirs.
Before-and-after photos are optional, always
Post them if you want to. Nobody is required to, and nobody should be asked to. If you post one, put it in a group where it belongs and leave the numbers out unless you want them there.
No medical advice
You can say what worked for you. You cannot tell someone else what to do with their medication, their dosage, their surgeon’s instructions, or their doctor’s plan. There is a real difference between “here is what my week looked like” and “you should stop taking that.” The first one helps. The second one can hurt someone.
No selling
No supplements, no coaching offers, no affiliate links, no recruiting for other programs. This includes direct messages to other members. If you have something you think belongs here, ask first at burn@eattheweightoff.com.
Disagree without tearing anybody down
People here eat differently, train differently, and got here different ways. You can say you see it another way. You cannot call someone lazy, cheating, or a failure for the path they chose — and taking a GLP-1 or having surgery is not cheating. That conversation is closed.
No hate, harassment, or unwanted contact
Nothing racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or fatphobic. No sexual comments about other members. No repeated messages to someone who has not answered you. Burn is a fitness community — it is not a dating app.
Keep the groups on topic
Each group exists for a reason. Politics and religion have plenty of homes on the internet; this is not one of them.
What happens when someone breaks these
Most of the time you will get a note from me or a moderator asking you to edit or remove a post — that is the end of it. Anything involving harassment, hate, or sharing another member’s private health information skips the warning and ends the membership. I would rather lose a member than lose the reason people feel safe posting here.
Reporting
Report a post using the report link on the post itself, or email burn@eattheweightoff.com. If you are reporting by email, tell me the group and roughly when it was posted so I can find it. I read every one. Response is usually within two business days.
If I can do it, so can you — and it is a lot easier with people around you.
